Representaciones sociales del cáncer y del biomagnetismo médico en usuarios adultos tratados en el centro de biomagnetismo médico y bioenergética “Equilibrio y Salud”

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo develar las representaciones sociales (RS) del cáncer y del biomagnetismo médico (BM) en usuarios del centro de biomagnetismo médico y bioenergética equilibrio y salud, ubicado en el municipio de Chía / Cundinamarca. Se realizó una investigación de campo, aplicando un cuestionario con preguntas abiertas y cerradas y una técnica de asociación libre de palabras inductoras a 54 usuarios del centro de biomagnetismo, de los cuales , 26 usuarios asistían por diagnostico oncológico y 28 por otro motivo. Se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas a 4 usuarios con diagnostico oncológico y una entrevista a la terapeuta. Los resultados indicaron que las RS del BM se asocian a emociones y sentimientos positivos, las RS del Cáncer mantienen una connotación negativa que se asocia a la amenaza de muerte, y los tratamientos alopáticos, sin embargo, en el campo representacional se manifestó el carácter positivo cuando la enfermedad es asociada a la espiritualidad y a la familia y relaciones.This study aimed to develop the social representations (SR) of cancer and medical biomagnetism (BM) in users of the center for medical biomagnetism and bioenergetic “equilibrio y salud”, located in the municipality of Chía / Cundinamarca.
